چکیده

Thermal power plants (TPPs) and national industrial complexes (NICs) are widely known as being among the major causes of changes in concentrations fine particulate matter (PM2.5). However, little is about PM2.5 concentration caused by operation these facilities South Korea health burden attributable to them, including early death. There were two purposes this study. The first was quantitatively evaluate TPPs NICs Korea. second estimate number deaths a such concentration. investigated within 2013 2015. 2015 estimated using Environmental Benefits Mapping Analysis Program (BenMAP). Nationwide, annual average increase 0.611 μg/m3 1.245 μg/m3, respectively, suggesting that contributed twice much TPPs. same trend also observed regarding deaths, with accounting for 1017 2091 per year, indicating high found be near NICs, while exposure varied according level population distribution mortality each air (quality) control zone (ACZ) which one exposed. findings study expected utilized reference data when setting goals strengthen quality management (AQM) ACZ

The present study deals with sequential extraction of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) bound trace metals in an industrial area of Firozabad, India. During the study period, daily PM2.5 concentration ranged between 73.49 μg/m3 and 113.26 μg/m3 with poor air quality index of 196.37. In the present study, Ca recorded the highest while Co had the lowest concentration among all analysed metals. Mn, ...

Characterization of Fine Particulate Matter and Associations between Particulate Chemical Constituents and Mortality in Seoul, Korea

BACKGROUND Numerous studies have linked fine particles [≤ 2.5 µm in aerodynamic diameter (PM(2.5))] and health. Most studies focused on the total mass of the particles, although the chemical composition of the particles varies substantially. Which chemical components of fine particles that are the most harmful is not well understood, and research on the chemical composition of PM(2.5) and the c...

Artificial neural network forecast application for fine particulate matter concentration using meteorological data

Most parts of the urban areas are faced with the problem of floating fine particulate matter. Therefore, it is crucial to estimate the amounts of fine particulate matter concentrations through the urban atmosphere. In this research, an artificial neural network technique was utilized to model the PM2.5 dispersion in Tehran City. Factors which are influencing the predicted value consi...

Association of Exposure to Fine Particulate Matter and Risk Factors of Non-Communicable Diseases in Children and Adolescents

Background: Risk factors of non-communicable disease (NCD) origin from early life, and exposure to environmental pollutant may be a predisposing factor. This study aimed to investigate the association of air quality index (AQI) and fine particulate matter (PM2.5) with some NCD risk factors in a sample of Iranian children and adolescents. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was con...
